John grew up in Chantilly, VA (Fairfax County). He received his undergraduate degree in business/accounting from Virginia Tech and his Juris Doctorate from USC. Admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1988, he began his legal career in 1988 practicing environmental and business litigation with the firm of Roddey, Carpenter & White, P.A. until its dissolution in 1991. Prior to opening Peterson Law Firm, P.A. in 2003, John was a partner in the Rock Hill firm of Harper, Peterson, Rogers & Reno, P.A. where he concentrated his practice in business law and litigation and real estate.
John lives in Fort Mill with his wife and family. When he is not in the office he is spending time with his family, playing guitar, or cheering on his Virginia Tech Hokies.
Wendy is originally from Georgia, she now lives in Rock Hill with her husband and two children. She double majored in Business and Marketing when obtaining her B.A.
With over 15 years of experience as a paralegal, Wendy is the office manager (“multitasking queen”) who organizes the whole office. She does her best to keep everything on track to ensure an excellent customer experience for all.
Outside the office, Wendy has a severe case of wanderlust and takes every opportunity to travel to tropical locations.
Karen was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. She worked as a consumer loan closer for a locally owned bank after moving to Florida. While in Florida she obtained her A.S. in Financial Services, graduating Summa Cum Laude. In 2006 Karen moved to South Carolina and began her paralegal career.
She is an essential part of our team. She is always a smiling face in the office.
When Karen is not working or taking care of her husband and all her pets, she enjoys quilting and cross-stitching.
Mary was born in San Diego, California and has made South Carolina her home for over 25 years. She has over 20 years of experience as a paralegal and legal assistant in North and South Carolina in the areas of litigation, estate planning, probate and contract/business law.
As our Estate Planning paralegal, Mary is passionate about working with clients and their families to give them the best possible experience and care. She really enjoys building lasting relationships with our clients and their families.
In her spare time, Mary works with her Golden Retrievers on canine assistance, agility and scent training.
Diane is originally from Washington, North Carolina and grew up in Shelby, North Carolina. After graduating from Wofford College, she remained in the Upcountry of South Carolina for 30 years and considers Greenville her hometown.
She has worked over 15 years in the real estate industry; and in every aspect of it from banker, Realtor to law firm. Diane assists and takes care of the others at Peterson Law Firm, P.A. so they can put all their energy into providing an excellent client experience.
Diane is famous for her green thumb. If you can’t find her in the garden she’s likely hanging out with her daughter or at the gym with her trainer.
Donna-Leigh is a recent Fort Mill transplant. She has worked in various non-profit industries throughout the southeast and has a talent for finding solutions and helping the back office run as efficiently as possible.
Donna-Leigh thrives on the combination of a tough strategic challenge and a blank piece of paper.
When she isn’t hanging out with her husband and two children, she likes to run; she finished her first half-marathon in 2014.
Gina is originally from Sarasota, Florida but moved to the Carolinas in 2004. She graduated from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, FL with a BA in Communications and has worked in both the telecommunications and legal industries. Gina recently relocated “across the bridge” to beautiful Lake Wylie where she now thoroughly enjoys living.
Gina is the friendly smiling face you will meet at the front desk of our Lake Wylie office and loves to connect you with the best person to help you with your needs!
She has one daughter and two furry children. In her spare time, you can probably find Gina at the soccer field or going on adventures with her family.
Bird is a native of Miami Beach Florida but has lived all over. She spent her first 20 years in the medical field before changing her career to teach English as a second language in Okinawa, Japan. Coming back to the States, she fell into the Title Insurance industry and has been happily doing that for 20 years.
When she is not gardening and taking care of her Bonsais, 3 cats, and a wonderful husband, she volunteers with a hospice agency to give relief to families and caretakers. And of course she collects all types of birds!
