Meet The Team

John grew up in Chantilly, VA (Fairfax County). He received his undergraduate degree in business/accounting from Virginia Tech and his Juris Doctorate from USC. Admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1988, he began his legal career in 1988 practicing environmental and business litigation with the firm of Roddey, Carpenter & White, P.A. until its dissolution in 1991. Prior to opening Peterson Law Firm, P.A. in 2003, John was a partner in the Rock Hill firm of Harper, Peterson, Rogers & Reno, P.A. where he concentrated his practice in business law and litigation and real estate.

John lives in Fort Mill with his wife and family. When he is not in the office he is spending time with his family, playing guitar, or cheering on his Virginia Tech Hokies.

Karen was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. She worked as a consumer loan closer for a locally owned bank after moving to Florida. While in Florida she obtained her A.S. in Financial Services, graduating Summa Cum Laude. In 2006 Karen moved to South Carolina and began her paralegal career.

She is an essential part of our team. She is always a smiling face in the office.

When Karen is not working or taking care of her husband and all her pets, she enjoys quilting and cross-stitching.

Diane is originally from Washington, North Carolina and grew up in Shelby, North Carolina. After graduating from Wofford College, she remained in the Upcountry of South Carolina for 30 years and considers Greenville her hometown.

She has worked over 15 years in the real estate industry; and in every aspect of it from banker, Realtor to law firm. Diane assists and takes care of the others at Peterson Law Firm, P.A. so they can put all their energy into providing an excellent client experience.

Diane is famous for her green thumb. If you can't find her in the garden she's likely hanging out with her daughter or at the gym with her trainer.
